UEM has extensive experience with full environmental assessments for waste management projects and Class Environmental Assessments for road, sewage and water projects. Additionally, we have experience with large development projects requiring Master Planning and/or various levels of environmental assessment and approval.
Our firm provides a thorough understanding and practical application of the Municipal Class EA process. Along with an in-depth understanding of the Municipal Engineers Association (MEA) Class EA process, our staff has additional expertise with the integration of the EA process with the Planning Act for select projects.
UEM has managed assessment teams at every level including the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act involving cumulative effects assessment, full EA's (provincial jurisdictions including Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan, Newfoundland and Nova Scotia) and Class EA's primarily in the Province of Ontario involving the evaluation of alternatives, public consultation and infrastructure development on behalf of municipal and regional governments.
